I have a 20D, a 40D and a 50D, and I think the 20D still takes excellent pictures, particularly in lower light. Definitely better than the 40D.

I'm using it with my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, which is a fabulous lens. So that helps. I reserve the others for telephoto stuff. This is actually my second 20D. The first one I got used and it crapped after a couple of years. The second one used to belong to my brother, who took excellent care of it. I hope it lasts a long time. I like it.

How's the autofocus on your copy of that lens? I had one for a few months and the damn thing was so inconsistent. I really wanted to like it but it never seemed to focus properly.

I've had no problems with it. I never use AI Focus or AI Servo. I've missed a shot here or there, but on the whole, it's been very quick and consistent.
